In most cases, yes. If the head unit works normally and only the screen/touch is damaged, replacing the screen assembly typically solves it.

I love my outlander and I purchased it with the broken screen using a mouse. For months till I got the courage to replace the digitizer. Too me almost 2 hours cause I did not had the right screwdriver but it was worth it.

The touchscreen panel works perfectly, it comes with its connectors in perfect condition. Keep in mind that you will need double-sided tape to adjust the panel to the case. (It would be a good idea if it had it from the factory)

I am a buyer for a vehicle dealership. A customer on a test drive told us the touch screen was inop. Oh damn, I thought, that might be an expensive whole head unit, or aftermarket stereo replacement. So, I typed '2021 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Touchscreen replacement' and this came up. I chose it due to the high number of ratings and for the quality of the reviews. We have our own in-house service dept. and I gave them this part and a link to a video about how to install this I found on YouTube. (different brand, but same screen for same vehicle) At first, they thought this was just a protective cover, but I assured them it wasn't evidenced by the electrical ribbon connector. They watched the video and had the unit working on the lot in about an hour. I couldn't be happier, and the bonus is that where we assumed a touch screen meant an expensive head replacement; it's no longer the case, whether a Mitubishi SUV, or a Ford F150 we will always look to replace the screen first.
